ABS was asked to activate her contacts in Bangkok on behalf of a F&B company moving into Bangkok. The master franchise holder for the Thai market is a Singaporean.
ABS arranged for several meetings with business owners in general, potential investors and collaborative partners and potential franchisees to meet up with the franchise holder. At the same time, ABS engaged in brainstorming sesssions with the owner to develop the best market penetration plan.
The result from the trip was an expansion of contacts for the franchise owner, a higher profile for the company and an integration of the company into the business network of Bangkok, particularly those English speaking ones, both foreign as well as locally owned.
Another unexpected result was the inclusion of ABS as the external advisor on the board of this F&B company in the areas of marketing and business development in Singapore.
